I have in my possession a NOTICE TO INTERNMENT CAMP VISITOR, as displayed in the visitors waiting room outside the Tintown camp during the mid-1950's. Perhaps there is a museum in the Curragh to whom I could donate the above mentioned item?

I remember on Sundays coming home from The Curragh Picture House passing the Internment Camp there would always be cars outside the main gate They were parked by visitors to the IRA .They would usually have parcels for the men inside.Simple but difficut times

Joe,
My fading memory tells me of the possibility that your Dad served with the MPC during what you referred to as "difficult times" in the Curragh Internment Camp? What a hell-hole that place was/

Hi Limerick. The Interment camp probably was a hell hole by to -days standards howeer the way that i see it that was then this is now, we cannot be as children know what our fathers did while in the Army wheather they are M.P. S or not. The bottom line is while in any Army orders are given and have to be followed just as those those locked up there were given orders by there commanders Sean Tracey.
